What is Memory Support Assisted Living?

Our specialized memory support residence within The Inn on the Pond provides an environment that was created especially for those individuals experiencing memory challenges.  This residence was carefully researched and designed to accommodate the special needs of residents with Alzheimer’s disease or other memory impairments and help them discover the joy in everyday life.

Our memory support provides a comfortable, home-like and supportive environment where those residents needing specialized memory care and guidance can live safe and content. We offer a wide variety of meaningful, hands-on activities and programming focused on group interaction, as well as on individuals' likes and needs.  The goal of these activities is to help our memory support residents discover the person they are today and possibly help them re-learn a portion of the skills they may have lost.

Family members can be confident in knowing that each member of our staff has been specially trained in Alzheimer’s care an in innovative new approaches to working with residents facing this disease.  We allow family members to be a little more stress-free, knowing that their loved one is being cared for in the same way – and with the same concern and support – that they would care for them.
